At Kammok, we’re motivated by adventure, community, and love. We seek to change the world by elevating your time outside. We do this by designing adventure grade, better made camp gear from our HQ in Austin, Texas.

Add-ons: How do I add additional items to my reward?

Want to add an extra item to your reward? Simple. Here’s how:

(1) If you’ve already pledged to this project, click the “Manage My Pledge” button at the top of the page. If not, click “Back this project” and pick one of the rewards. Every backer can pick one and only one reward level.

(2) Check out the Add-On Menu in the FAQ above. Find the item(s) you want to add. Increase your reward by the corresponding dollar amount. You do not need to add any extra money for shipping beyond the shipping surcharge that is part of your reward.

(3) That’s it! No need to do anything else until after the project ends on September 25th.

In the weeks following September 25th we will send every backer a required survey from BackerKit. In that survey you will tell us which specific items you want to add on to your reward. You will also have the chance to add Kammok products to your reward that are not in the Add-Ons.

You will give us your shipping details at that time.

Pledge: When will I be charged for my pledge?

You will not be charged until the end of the campaign on September 25th.

Pledge: Can I change my pledge?

You are able to make changes to your pledge by clicking ‘Manage my pledge’ until the campaign ends on September 25th. Once the campaign is closed, we are unable to make any changes to your order to ensure a timely delivery.

Pledge: When making a pledge, do I also get the lower-priced pledge tiers as well?

Rewards don’t ‘stack’. You can add additional funds to your pledge to cover two or more rewards, and we will do a survey at the end of the campaign to determine what rewards you would like to receive.

Pledge: How do I pledge for more than one tier on the campaign?

The Kickstarter platform does not allow for multiple pledges on one campaign under one account. Every backer can pick one and only one reward level.

The Burro Zip 18 has a capacity of 18 liters, and can accommodate gear for a day hike or the daily essentials for the office. For a day hike, the Burro Zip 18 can carry a Roo Double, Python 10, Kuhli, Dragonfly, Mesa Mat, water bottle, books, and snacks with plenty of room to spare.

Product: What can fit inside a Burro Roll 26?

The Burro Roll 26 has a capacity of 26 liters, and can accommodate gear for a weekend campout. Pack out a Mantis all-in-one hammock tent, Firebelly trail quilt, Pongo sleeping pad, Puffin pillow, camp stove and fuel, dry meals, medical kit, toiletries, propane tank, a pair of spare clothes, quick-dry towel and room for smaller accessories.

Product: Are the Burro Packs fully waterproof?

The Burro Packs are waterproof, but not submersible. Engineered from our Lunarwave™ 70D diamond ripstop nylon, our Adamas™ 70D ripstop nylon has a laminate core, PU coated, seam sealed, for a 12,000 mm waterproof rating. The YKK AquaGuard® zippers are water-resistant, the zippers will resist most encounters with water, but we do not recommend completely submerging your pack.

Product: Will there be other colors?

No, we will not be offering different colors in the near future. The Burro Zip 18, Burro Roll 26, and Hip Pack are available in Ember Orange and Onyx Black. The Burro Duffel will be offered only in Onyx Black for the Kickstarter campaign.

Production: What is timeline for production?

Production: Where are the products made?

The Burro Pack Line is designed and prototyped in Austin, Texas, then manufactured with our partners in Asia. While we source our component parts from several countries, the majority of our final production is completed in Vietnam. Our team has built a trusted relationship with our production partners since 2011, and we are proud to work alongside a world-class production team overseas. As a certified B Corp company, we are committed to manufacturing processes that are both ethical and environmentally-conscious.

Shipping: When will I get my product?

Early bird tiers: We expect finished Burro Pack line products to arrive stateside by mid-November, and start shipping to backers before Thanksgiving.

All other tiers: are expected to ship by mid-December, with the objective of getting them to you in time for Christmas!

We ensure you’ll be the first to know of any anticipated delays, changes to product lineup, or other unforeseeable issues arise. Our products are made with integrity and for us, that means doing it right - no shortcuts.

Kammok has worked closely with our factory to ensure that our production timeline is realistic for the Burro Pack line. We do not anticipate having to delay your delivery date, but we will be in close communication with you along the way if we hit a hitch in production.

Shipping: Can I pick up my reward from the Kammok Gear Shop?

Unfortunately, we are not offering in-store pickup at this time. We ship everything from Austin, TX and if you are in Texas you will usually have your shipment the next day. If you’re local, we would love for you to swing by our Gear Shop to say hi. We’re located on the east side of Austin, Texas at 1401 E. 7th Street. We will have the Burro Zip 18 and Roll 26 posted up at the Gear Shop throughout the campaign.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
